First up today was to tighten up the belts on the foot drive system. This task is mostly awkward than hard, since once size requires the use of a heavy set of pliers to loosen the bolts.
Next up was to remove the legs from the ankles to inspect and replace the spacers with a one-piece shim.
Right off the bat, I could tell we were going to have some issues. Some of the threaded inserts that are in the leg had broken off...
What I thought I would try to do is this....use the GOOP adhesive on a nut and glue it in place of where the threaded bit was. I slowly threaded in the bolt to hold it snug against the leg and left it to dry.
We'll see how that works and check on it in the morning.
