And here's where we are at now, after using the mouse sander's foam pad for polishing. There are a few spin lines still there but the result is what I wanted.....shiney, yet not chromey.
Of course, I'll just wind up sanding over all those shiney panels when it comes time to prime and paint. But for today....today....dang, it looks nice.
Another new acquisition is the folding electronics tray for the JAG v5 frame. Simply loosen two frame rods, swivel to face the holes in the plate, bolt in and tighter frame screws. That was easy!
